SANC-CPD

The South African Nursing Council (SANC) plays a critical role in regulating Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for nursing professionals to ensure they maintain and enhance their knowledge, skills, and competence in the field of healthcare. Under Section 39(a), (b), and (c) of the Nursing Act, the council has the following mandates:
  • Section 39(a): Establishing CPD Requirements
  • Section 39(b): Retention of Registration
  • Section 39(c): Determining the Nature and Extent of CPD
